Channel 4 Documentary on British Asians

Bollywood in Selfridges and cinema charts, Bombay Dreams in the west end and Bhangra in the charts - Asian culture is increasingly found in all parts of British society, not even counting the existence of curry and fashionable henna tattoos. But does this growing acceptance of all things Asian mean we're all regarded as one homogenous community?

You'll hear why he's Headlining next month's Herbalism. It's because he's a fucking genius.
The world is a strange place amplified by the relative ease of trawling the internet where you can find wonderful oddities like the conclave obscurum somewhere in Russian cyberspace.

Guess who's gonna be playing at the Herbal Stage this Sunday at Shoreditch Carnival.

Well the names Grooverider, Ray Keith, State Of Bengal, Ges-e and of course Nerm spring to mind...

And don't forget to head down to Supersonic Buddha after to check out the Sonik Gurus
UK Premiere: Mutiny

Combining music documentary and social documentary, "MUTINY: Asians Storm British Music" charts the meteoric rise of Asian music in 1990s Britain, looking particularly at the decades of cultural cross-pollination and political struggle that led up to that historic moment.

From the creators of South Park comes Team America: World Police.

When Thunderbirds the Movie screwed up the entire concept and got rid of the best thing about it (the puppets), Matt & Trey decided to make this.
Swami rocked Herbalism on Friday night!

What a show... an hour and a half taking it from tech-house via bhangra breaks to drum n bass...

Unfortunately due to the very exclusive nature of his set and technical difficulties, we're unable to offer Herbalism set's for download this month. We're sorry.

To make it up to you we've got a new Supersonic Buddha wallpaper coming your way as well as some interesting audio treats that are just being finalised...
Quoted from Cabein:

"somebody told me that the butterflies in the Supersonic Buddha poster are just sooo cute....

Well I'd like to make it very clear, the butterflies are like flies, serene but deadly creatures infected with a drum and bass disease, released with deafening clarity with each flap of their wings...

fuck cute, welcome to the dark side..."

So there you go.

So a friend of mine came over with a preview copy of Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, a new American "post-teen" comedy. It's fucking funny and the star is this South Asian dude called Kal Penn (real name Kalpen Modi) who's own website is quite rubbish considering he's a brown dude who must have friends in programming.

He seems like a proper dude and all of the crew (well the one's who'd been herbally relaxed at least) urge you to check out this film and his role in another US comedy "Van Wilder - Party Liason". They're funny. As fuck.
