Now, I know y'all have seen the cute short film "Holly-Bolly," but director Dishad has asked me to tell people to go here and watch his movie to get him more votes. So go see it again, or inflict it on friends and coworkers who haven't seen it. Personally, I want him to get funding for his feature film, which sounds beyond surreal. And, I was also entertained to learn, after he and I and a Canadian Asian actor had been joking about my little gori self being exploited by the brown media, that Holly-Bolly was edited by a white girl. (and I saw a big Indian art-flick at Virgin the other day that had an all-brown crew and editrix named Bridget!) Dishad laughed evilly when I pointed it out and said "You ain't the first, and you won't be the last." Who'da thunk? Not only am I part of some heretofore unknown brown slave trade in Caucasian female video editors, but I'm probably the first whitey to ever marry a brown guy for a visa. Just wait for the next Eastern Eye expose, man. :p
