See I just realized how this is all very confusing .
We have the
UKAMAs and the
BrAMAsThey both use the same logo identity of the sitar.
They both have annoying websites.
And i dont think im the only one confused as they both supposedly going to be aired on Ch4.

this is a topic that has been a catalyst for so many arguments between people around the business.
the amas it seems are said to be targeting the more unrecognized asian artists, rather than the more commercial ones, they want the more unknown talent to be credited.
the bramas argue that they are celebrating asian music as a whole, and thus the more commercial artists are being recognized.
however, many argue that the amas are simply copying the bramas, ie; slogans, publicity, nominations.
apparently the amas changed their nominations after hearing the bramas...no joke. the amas is also questionable because you have to pay to nominate, whereas the bramas prove to seem more organised and proffesionally credited.
these come from the many discussions i have heard, and it seems to me the bramas seem more credible...but my question is why cant asian music as a whole be celebrated as one entity?...or perhaps the actual artists who have the raw and deserving talent should simply be celebrated by world wide organisations, mercury music prize anyone?
