For the last few weeks I’ve been assisting on Enter 05, which is Waterman’s first South Asian New Media Graduate Show. New media might not be the best title, but its something new and has loads of room to expand. I’m not going to be exhibiting, but rather in the background on this one. Here’s my original logo design, which might be better utilized for the 06 show.

As some of you know, I've just started working at a startup production company run by two brothers from Bombay. (speaking of which, I'm 100 pages into Maximum City -- anyone else read it? Makes Bombay sound AWFUL) They just had £20,000 worth of equipment delivered yesterday for an editing suite, so my job for the next week is to "learn how to fly it." It's basically my own laptop system on massive amounts of steroids, so it's familiar, yet terrifying.
So because of me being able to play around today, finally, 2 and a half months later, here's the 10-min Desivision segment of Supersonic Buddha (16mb, RealPlayer), starring Nerm & Kunal, Dee, State of Bengal, and Nasha & Chemi-kaal. Simple, basic, not too exciting, yaar. I'm sorry I had to cut out much of Koo's artistic ramblings (and Nerm saying "and then he'll just whip out some really dark shit and you go 'Uh, OK, mate. Why don't you go home and have some roti and daal and chill out?'"), but such is the nature of editing. :) (p.s., I want that song that I used at the beginning and end...what is it?!?)

Note From India:
An Indian electronica CD I picked up in Mumbai features Shiva Soundsystem's favourite acts; Midival Punditz, Bandish Projekt and Funcinternational. The track they all had to re-interpret was Vande Mataram a National Anthem of sorts.
Listen to clips from the CD here
The Funcinternational Rocktronics Remix has been likened to Jimi Hendrix playing Star Spangled Banner.
